Cranbourne is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 43 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Casey. At the 2006 Census, Cranbourne had a population of 14,750.
The greater Cranbourne area consists of Cranbourne, Cranbourne North, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne South, Cranbourne West. Some suburbs and townships that surround Cranbourne are Narre Warren South, Devon Meadows, Langwarrin, Clyde, and Junction Village.

Once you have finished in the Australian Garden, head into the rest of the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne or visit the Gardens Shop or Boonerwurrung Cafe.
The Woodland Picnic Area is a fantastic space for family, friends and community groups. It has free gas barbecues, picnic tables, a huge children’s playground and large open spaces for ball games. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Entry to the Woodland Picnic Area is free. The Woodland Picnic Area can be accessed from the Australian Garden car park. (by foot 400m walk)
The 10km of walking tracks, abundance of native animals and 360-degree lookout tower make the Gardens an ideal place for natures-lovers to enjoy the Australian bush, only 45 minutes drive from Melbourne.
